Supply Chain Manager
Job Description
Responsible for overall warehouse-Asset/Inventory Management and Logistics management.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Planning delivery timetables.
• Tracking the movement of goods.
• Ensuring optimal level of stock according to demand.
• Monitoring stock levels.
• Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers, vendors, or freight forwarders.
• Meet with suppliers to discuss performance metrics, to provide performance feedback, or to discuss production forecasts or changes.
• Tracking products through stores to make sure they arrive at their destination
• Implement new or improved supply chain processes.
• Document physical supply chain processes, such as workflows, cycle times, position responsibilities, or system flows.
• Manage activities related to strategic or tactical purchasing, material requirements planning, inventory control, warehousing, or receiving.
• Develop procedures for coordination of supply chain management with other functional areas, such as sales, marketing, finance, production, or quality assurance.
• Design or implement supply chains that support business strategies adapted to changing market conditions, new business opportunities, or cost reduction strategies.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement, engineering, and quality assurance, to identify or qualify new suppliers.
• Overseeing the arrival of shipments, managing clerical, administrative and warehouse distribution staff.
• Monitoring performance and making sure targets are met.
• Dealing with staff recruitment and training.
• Control arrival of shipments.
• Would be responsible for managing multiple suppliers and warehouses.
Skills
• Excellent organization and communication skills.
Education
• Bachelor or Master’s Degree in SCM or Inventory Management.
• 5 Years’ Experience in similar field.
